The #1 seeded St. Mary’s High School concluded a perfect regular season by earning the IAAM B Conference crown over #2 John Carroll School.
The Saints won 2-1 in a thrilling game. Courtesy of goals from St. Mary’s Ava Boland and John Carroll’s Annie Mignolio, the final was tied 1-1 with 5 minutes remaining the regulation. At that point, Abigail Thompson capitalized on St. Mary’s 10th corner of the game to put her team up.
This goal was the game-winner that proved the dominance and resilience of the St. Mary’s High School team throughout the entire 2024 campaign and earned the State Champions status.
