- Which ball should I use outdoors?
- Use a regulation outdoor ball on artificial turf or natural grass. A dimpled shell is especially useful on artificial or wet turf; smooth balls can also be used outdoors.
- Which ball should I use indoors?
- Choose a smooth indoor ball. Indoor balls are generally hollow and sit toward the smaller end of the accepted size range for quick court play.
- What is inside a field hockey ball?
- A tough plastic shell surrounds an air, rubber or cork core. Rubber adds stability and resilience, while cork helps create a solid feel and limits internal fragmentation.
- What should I use for training?
