St. Anne’s-Belfield School was the #1 seed going into the postseason tournament. They took down North Cross in the opening round 5-0.
The Saints then beat Foxcroft 6-0 and got the win in a 1-0 championship game against Fredericksburg Academy.
A goal from Blair Fox in the final quarter of play proved to be what was needed for the Saints to come out on top and be the only team left with a win in the VISAA Division 2 State Championship playoffs, earning the Champions title.
