We are thrilled to welcome Madison Hunt into the Longstreth Athlete Program as the newest TK Ambassador! Maddi is from Pottstown, Pennsylvania and attends Owen J. Roberts High School. She plays club for WC Eagles and recently competed in the Max Field Hockey Class of 2029 Top 100 National Player Invitational and Nexus Championship U16.

What stick do you use and why do you choose it?
I use the TK Xtreme Late Bow Ultra Plus stick. I chose it because when I tried it in the store and at the Proving Grounds, I loved the way it felt when I did pulls and 3D skills and the power it gave me in my shot. I’m looking forward to playing with it!
Do you have a grip preference? If so, which grip and why do you like it?
I have been using the Tk Chamois Plus Grip. I just like how it feels while I’m playing, when it gets wet it doesn’t get slippery.
How long have you been playing field hockey and what made you first want to start playing?
I’ve been playing field hockey for 8 years and I started playing because I would watch my older cousins play and they played in college as well as my neighbors that I grew up with. So, I started playing because they inspired me and I kind of grew up with people playing it.
Do you have any pre-game rituals?
I always listen to music before getting to the field and before the game starts I re-grip my glove and spin my stick in my hand three times.
What's your go-to pre-game meal?
A blue Gatorade, any kind of fruit and half a bagel.
What is your go-to game day hairstyle?
Either a bun or ponytail.
Favorite pump-up song(s) to listen to before a game?
Dreams and nightmares, unwritten, still sleepless, or I won’t back down.
Describe your playing style in three words?
Determined, versatile, multi- dimensional.
What do you like to do when you are not playing field hockey?
If I’m not playing field hockey I like to play lacrosse, spend time with family and friends, go to the beach in the summer, go skiing in the winter, go shopping, or play with my dog.
Do you have any game day superstitions?
I wear the same Hocsocx every game.

If you could give your younger self a piece of advice, what would it be?
I think I would say something like don’t try to copy someone or try to be exactly like them, look up to them but set your own goals.
What is your favorite field hockey memory?
My favorite field hockey memory I can think of is starting my first varsity game this year as a freshman and scoring 2 goals.
